Alter Behavioral Health Branding

Project summary:
Alter Behavioral Health Group is a behavioral rehabilitation company that focuses on addiction. With new sub-companies being added to Alter’s brand, they looked to our team for redesigning their logo and reimagining their brand architecture to be compatible with their current portfolio and provide flexibility for future growth.

The Logo

Alter asked for a logo that connected more with their company's focus and was flexible enough to use across all their product offerings. Alter’s focus on cutting-edge behavioral techniques and new ways of connecting with patients through telehealth and building communities to make a positive impact inspired the logo, a brain of blooming colors. The colors represented the different branches of Alter and how they all interweave together to support Alter’s mission, to better behavioral health services, and to provide their clients the tools to live happier and more productive lives by taking control of their addictions.

Process: Sub-branding color application testing

The key component used to distinguish the separate subrands is color. Each subrand utilizes a secondary color from the master brand color palette while the navy serves as the subrand’s secondary color to visually connect them back to the Alter master brand.

Technology = light blue,
Dana Point = red,
Cambridge = gold,
and remote services = sage green

Exploring the brain form and the logo being made up of multiple components, we experimented with complexity and legibility looking at the variety of applications Alter Behavioral Health would be applying the logos and wordmarks.
